Astroneer just dropped its first-ever DLC, Glitchwalkers, adding major new content to the sci-fi survival sandbox. With over five years and 11 million players behind it, System Era Softworks is taking Astroneer to new heights (and new planets) with this massive update, now available on Boosteroid, GeForce NOW, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Explore Aeoluz – Astroneer’s Largest Planet Yet
The DLC centers on Aeoluz, a sprawling, unexplored planet with diverse biomes and hidden caverns. Aeoluz is the biggest addition to the Astroneer universe, packed with new tech, unique resources, and an expanded crafting system that lets you unlock advanced tools and upgrades as you explore. Aeoluz’s mysterious environment keeps things unpredictable, offering everything from strange landscapes to resource-rich areas ready for those willing to dig deeper.
Face Off Against the Glitchwalker, Lyn
The expansion brings a storyline twist, introducing Lyn, a rogue crew member from the ESS Elysium who’s hacking Astroneer’s Training Program (ATP) to dismantle it from within. Partner with Frank, the Elysium’s head of maintenance, to track down Lyn and protect the program. Lyn’s actions add a new layer of danger, challenging players to survive, strategize, and stop her sabotage before it’s too late.
New Tools, New Tech, and Endless Exploration
Glitchwalkers expands on Astroneer’s original gameplay with an updated tech tree and new crafting modules, enhancing the build-and-survive experience. New tools and upgrades allow players to go further and experiment with creative problem-solving. The DLC also includes a free companion update for the base game, adding fresh gameplay options, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements for all Astroneer fans.
