NVIDIA has confirmed that a large number of Ready-to-Play games will shift to Install-to-Play starting December 12, 2025. This change does not remove any titles from GeForce NOW. All affected games remain fully playable for premium members (Ultimate, Performance or Founders), and optional persistent storage is available for players who want to keep games installed between sessions.
Some recognisable titles are included
While most of the list is made up of smaller or niche games, there are a few well-known names in the mix. These include Owlboy, RiME, Dread Hunger, Paradise Killer, several entries from the Trails series, and the three Earth Defense Force titles. All of these remain fully playable they simply won’t launch instantly once the change takes effect.
