NVIDIA is making a few adjustments to the Ready to Play lineup this month, promoting some games into instant-launch status and shifting others back to Install to Play. These changes happen regularly and are based on activity and demand rather than anything being added or removed from the service.
Games promoted to Ready to Play
A few of the most-played Install to Play titles have now been moved into Ready to Play, which means they boot instantly without the installation step:
- Megabonk
- R E P O
- RV There Yet?
These shifts usually happen when a game sees a consistent rise in activity, or when NVIDIA wants to make sure it loads quickly for a larger group of players.
Games moving out of Ready to Play
A batch of lower-activity games is moving from Ready to Play into Install to Play later this month. This doesn’t remove them from the service, and it doesn’t affect how they play once they’re running. It simply means they’ll install the first time you launch them, instead of loading instantly. NVIDIA hasn’t published the list of titles yet, but they’ll appear in the Install to Play section once the change goes live.
If you’re on the free tier, remember that Install to Play titles require a Priority or Ultimate membership to launch.
What this means for players
These moves aren’t upgrades or downgrades, and they’re not tied to any performance or support issues. They’re simply part of how NVIDIA manages a large and constantly changing library. Popular games get instant access. Quieter ones move to install-on-demand. Either category can change again depending on how people play in the weeks ahead.
If you suddenly see a different label on a game you play, nothing’s wrong — it’s just the catalogue rebalancing itself for the month.
